Profile
Pisang Peak Climbing Pisang Peak, one of the most famous peaks in the Annapurna Region, lies on the way to the highest pass of the world. One can find many chances of exploration during the climbing trail of Pisang. It is one of the few glacial mountains in Nepal with the western flank holding a hanging glacier which makes the climb a rather difficult one. Also, the end of the western ridge contains huge rock slabs which make it even more difficult to climb.
Rising from the Pisang village and yak pastures at the base, the Pisang peak has uniform slopes of ice and snow all the way to the top. Among the climbing peaks in Nepal, Pisang Peak is considered to be somewhat more technical in terms of the difficulty of the terrain.
The Pisang Peak was first scaled by a German expedition group in 1955. After many years, the Pisang Peak has succeeded in gathering remarks from people all over the world for being one of the most challenging peaks of the Himalayas. Due to the relative ease of the peak, trekkers with little or no experience in climbing can scale this peak and experience the wonders of the Himalayas first hand. If combined with the classic Annapurna circuit trek, the Pisang Peak climbing is believed to be the most tasteful climb of the Himalayas and is something to surely try out if you are in Nepal.
