Fly to Lhasa from Kathmandu, Nepal. You will be picked up by our representative on your arrival at Lhasa airport. If you fly to Lhasa from Kathmandu, Nepal, the flight should bring you some of the spectacular sights of the Himalayan ranges as you fly over and past those mighty snow-capped peaks. You will be driven to a hotel in Lhasa city on the bank of River Kyichu. Check into the hotel and you will have a free afternoon to relax and prepare for the amazing tours to come. You will need this day to rest to adjust yourself to the elevation gain so take it easy today. 
 

We will go for a sightseeing tour today after breakfast. The tour will take us to visit and explore the grandeur of Potala Palace. The residence of the Dalai Lama will leave us stunned by the magnificence of the architecture and the spiritual aura it spreads around.

We will then visit Norbulinka, the Treasure Park, which is the biggest man-made park in Tibet. After spending some amazing moments in the park, we will return back to the hotel.
 

The tour today is a spiritual tour as we will be visiting different historic and grand monasteries in Lhasa. We will visit some of the most beautiful and important monasteries in Lhasa today which include the Sera Monastery and Jokhang Temple. Sera Monastery lies about 5 kilometers north of the Lhasa city which once was the residence of more than 5,000 monks. Another important monastery, Jokhang Temple, lies in Old Lhasa. This is a historically important monastery where the most important religious treasures in Tibet are kept. The monastery also has a golden statue of Shakyamuni Buddha.

After visiting these two important monasteries, we will go to explore and experience the local social life of Barkhor Market. After the sightseeing, we return back to the hotel and relax. 
 

We will drive to Gyantse today which is 261 kilometers far from Lhasa. The beautiful high highway drive will take us past two high mountain passes of Kora La – 5010m and Kamba La – 4794m. Breathtaking view of Lake Yamadroke also makes our trip of the day exciting. Reach Gyantse and explore a bit.
 

The first half of the day today is allocated for the sightseeing tour of Gyantse. The sightseeing tour includes the visit to the monasteries of Pholkor and Kumbum. After the exploration of beautiful Gyantse, we will have our lunch and start driving to Xigatse, 90 kilometers away from Gyantse. The highway to Xigatse passes through a beautiful country road. Check into a hotel and relax in Xigatse.
 

We will drive to Shegar today via Gyatso La pass-5220m. The drive today will bring us some of the most spectacular views of the Tibetan landscape. The stretch of 244 kilometers leads us past various attractive places, monasteries, herders, and rural Tibetan settings to reach Shegar. Once you reach Shegar, check into the hotel and relax.
 

We will leave Shegar after breakfast. We will drive towards Rongbuk valley via Pang La pass. Breathtaking views of the Himalayan range will welcome us when we reach Pang La pass. A descent will take us to the Rongbuk valley from where we will have the first glimpse of the spectacular Mt. Everest. Overnight stay in Rongbuk.
 

We will get ready for our hike to the epic Everest base camp early in the morning. The highlight of our trip is coming true today when we will be at the base of the 8848 meters high mountain, Mt. Everest. The magnificent Everest is known as Mt. Chomolungma in Tibet. 

We will stay at overnight camp.
 

After experiencing some incredible moments at the Everest base camp with breathtaking views of the Everest and other mountains in the Himalayas, we will start our drive to Rongbuk today to stay overnigth there.
 

We trace the same highway, which we had taken to go to Everest base camp, back to Xigatse today. We celebrate the accomplishment of reaching the base of the highest mountain in the world. A flashback on the journey that we took to the EBC a few days earlier will make our celebration even more lively. 
 

Our journey takes us back to Lhasa where our trip in Tibet had started. We are on the final day in Tibet so we enjoy the most out of it. 
 

You fly back to Kathmandu today. On your arrival in Kathmandu, we will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel. Once in Kathmandu, you have free time to spend at leisure in the chaos of the city after so many days of serene mountain air and incredible adventure in Tibet and Everest Base Camp.
 

A full day in leisure or to do some activities.
 

On the last day of this trip, we drive you to the airport as per your flight schedule back to home or onward destination.
