Rara Lake trekking or Mugu trekking takes us along the land of southern Humla where we can enjoy the awesome views of the hills, mountains, lush forests and open meadows. Along the rumbling Karnali River which is the longest river of Nepal the trail ultimately ends at Rara Lake, the biggest lake in Nepal which lies in the Rara National Park. The national park is home to many rare species, floras and faunas.

This trek can even be started from the reverse side i.e. from Mugu or Jumla. The natural surroundings in combination with the locals and the amazing Rara lake experience is something that you'll never forget.

Since there is no direst air service form Kathmandu to Simikot, you'll have to fly to simikot via Nepalgunj . However, the trip would absolutely be worth it,
