Paragliding in Nepal

Paragliding in NepalPrice: $110 USD per person

Nepal
is truly one of the most stunning countries imaginable with the climate and geographical structures that keeps one mesmerized. Forming a rectangle on the southern slopes of the Himalaya, Nepal, closely following Switzerland, is among the some few destinations for the best paragliding experience there is. Pokhara, one of the major tourist destination of Nepal, us ranked the fifth best location for paragliding in the world. Nestled in the foot of the Himalayas, Pokhara is also called the second city of Nepal for its reputation as a tourist destination. The lakeside town is also known for its climate and location fit for paragliding in Nepal.

Taking you over some of the best sceneries on Earth, with a view from the top of the world, the Paragliding in Nepal is bound to provide you with spectacular sceneries of beautiful lakes, spectacular peaks, stunning overhead view of the city, monasteries, temples, lakes and jungle, and flight across the hills and the city etc.

First, we arrive at Sarangkot which marks the start of our journey to the Paragliding destination. After some hours of climb, we reach the hill station where one can view amazing sunrise and sunsets over the Himalayas, and maybe settle for a little sightseeing. Then we reach our adventure spot at the top of the hill station. The view from the top is the best with glorious views of the Annapurna range amongst the beautiful landscapes around Pokhara valley showcasing the mountains - Fishtail (Machhapuchhare), Lamjung Himal, Annapurna Himal, Himchuli and also a rewarding view of the Fewa Lake, Rice field, Rivers and settlements there. This might just be the best photographic opportunity.

Experience is not needed in paragliding as experienced and qualified pilots will provide full briefing of what to do and, more importantly, what not to. The gliders wear a paragliding harness wrapped around their body that is designed for comfort and safety so that you can just sit back and relax for the most awesome experience that gives you wings and maybe click a picture or two.

Paragliding in Nepal is seasonal and the flying season generally starts in November and runs through February, November and December being the best times to visit. There is also a wide variety of flights you may choose that offers you different level of amusement and strike some of which includes Tandem flight, Cloud flight, Cross valley, and Acrobatic.
