The first day of your adventure trip to the Nar Phu Valley Trek starts with your arrival to Kathmandu. Our company representative will welcome you at the airport on your arrival. He will transfer you to the hotel where you can find an easy time to relax after checking in. We will meet you in the evening at the hotel to talk about the trip in details. Any questions you may have regarding your trip will be discussed so that you are well-prepared for the trip.
We will trek to Koto village today. The trek goes past Bagarchhap, Danaque, Timang, and advances towards the destination. The walk will bring us beautiful views of mountains like Manaslu and Annapurna II. Nature, view and the serenity makes our walk of the day a wonderful one. We eventually reach Koto to stay overnight
We will trek to Meta village leaving the Annapurna Circuit Trail today. We check in to the Nar Phu Valley check post and continue walking through the trail that follows the Soti Khola course. Trekking through forested areas traversing the trail up and down the hill, we finally reach Meta village. Meta is a Tibetan Buddhist settlement in the region. The quietness of the region suggests only fewer trekkers in the area. Age old village has its unique charm to impress anyone visiting the place.
The serenity and remoteness of the region get even more impressive as we trek towards Phu Gaun. The wonderful timeless village in the Phu valley is our destination for the day. It is a long day trekking of about 8 hours. The trail has jagged cliff along the trail and it meanders several up and down through the mountain. Spectacular views and surroundings make the walk feel a little easier. When we reach Phu Gaun, we will be welcomed by a spectacular view of the mountains in the Annapurna range of the Himalaya. We stay overnight at Phu Gaun.
We will take an extra day here at Phu Gaun today to explore the surroundings and acclimatize. Exploring the surroundings of this age-old thatch-roofed village of mud and rock buildings brings us to the wonderful mountain civilization that is influenced by Tibetan Buddhism. We may go for a hiking excursion to Himlung Base Camp and return back to Phu to stay overnight.
After an extra day of acclimatization and exploration at Phu village, we return back the same trail towards Meta village. But we are not going to Meta instead we stop at Nar Phedi today. We will stay at the Nar Phedi monastery. We will have a chance to witness their regular prayer session at the monastery in the evening. It is going to be an immensely spiritual day to awaken our spiritual self.
We will continue our trek towards Nar village today. Climbing up a hill towards Nar village, we leave the Nar Phedi monastery that provides us shelter and an amazing opportunity to witness traditional prayer session. After walking several up and down the hills, we eventually arrive at Nar village. This village is another Tibetan Buddhist settlement. Along with the cultural and natural wonders along the trek and in the village, we can enjoy the view of the mountains. We will stay overnight here at Nar village today.
Our trek takes us to Ngwal village today to stay overnight. But the destination is reached only after trekking over the Kang La pass that stands at 5,240 meters above sea level. An uphill struggle early in the morning is worth as we can get to enjoy the unimaginable views of the mountains and surroundings. Kang La pass separates Manang and Phu valley. After spending some incredible moments at the pass, we descend steeply to Ngwal village to stay overnight.
After a few days of real wilderness deeper into the mountains and valleys of Nar and Phu, we will trek to Pisang in the Annapurna Circuit trail. The adventure of walking on the Nar Phu valley ends here and continues on the Annapurna Circuit trail.  We stay overnight at Pisang today.
We are heading to the beautiful Manang today. The trail that leads us there is full of natural wonders, from mountains to dramatic valley surroundings. Manang is the major town in the region that works as a sort of business center. We spend overnight here in this beautiful town in the mountains.
We have an acclimatization day stay at Manang today. We will go for some hiking exploration in the surroundings that will help us adjust with the climate of the higher elevation.
The walk today will take us above 4,000 meters from the sea level. We continue the trek to Yak Kharka that stands at the elevation of 4,090 meters above sea level. As we traverse the trail, we can enjoy the view of dramatic mountains in the surroundings. It is a short walking day that takes us to the destination with enough time to explore the area. We will enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and natural wonders of Yak Kharka.
We eventually reach the base of the famous Thorong La today. The base of the pass, Thorong Phedi, is reached after a walk of about four hours for the day. As we reach the overnight destination early today, we can utilize the time to take enough rest so that we get ready for the pass crossing adventure tomorrow.
The trek continues early in the morning today. We set off for an early morning walk up towards the Thorong La pass, the highest elevation on the adventure. It will be a tiring yet rewarding journey to the top of the pass. Once we reach the top, we can enjoy the view of incredibly fascinating surroundings.
Later, we trek all the way down to Muktinath to stay overnight. Muktinath is a spiritual site that offers overwhelmingly positive vibrations.
We certainly deserve a rest day after the long walking adventure around the Annapurna. So, we spend our day here in Pokhara. Although it is mostly a rest day, we can still go for some other sorts of adventure activities like paragliding, bungee jumping, ultra-light flight, zip flying, etc. at an additional cost. These are completely optional activities. You can spend your day in Pokhara simply wandering around at leisure.
We will drive back to Kathmandu today along the same highway that we took earlier to go to Pokhara. There is also an option of flying back with the payment of the extra cost for the flight. Back in Kathmandu, we will take and enjoy leisurely time around.
The 20 Days Nar Phu Valley Trek has come finally an end with beautiful memories and experience of adventure trekking around the Annapurna region.
