Lantang Helambu Trek is one of the most famous trekking routes in the Langtang Himalayan region.
Langtang Helambu Trek begins with a 6-7 hour drive to Dhunche from Kathmandu. The trek goes through a sub-tropical jungle with oak, birch pine, and especially rhododendron forest. The trek offers an eye-catching view of mountains along with mountain lakes, the old Buddhist monasteries, the Sherpa people their customs, and cultures.
Langtang Helambu trek is also equally significant for wildlife; including Red Pandas, Himalayan Black Bears, and Deer, Wild Boar, and Langur Monkeys. When we cross the pass Gosainkund pass/Lauribinala (4610m), the trail leads to the Helambu valley then we make all almost a circle going through Thadepati , Melamchi Guon, Tarkeghyang, and finally to Melamchi Pul Bazaar, from where we can drive back to Kathmandu with beautiful Himalayan scenery.
