Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek

Ghorepani Poon Hill TrekGhorepani Poon Hill Trek offers spectacular mountain scenery along with charming villages inhabited particularly by Gurungs and Magars, dense rhododendron forests full of exotic birds and deep sub-tropical valleys, set below the Annapurnas with the picturesque peak of Machhapuchhare (Fishtail Peak) along the skyline. Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek provides a once in a lifetime opportnity to see some of the most outstanding landscapes and some of the highest peaks on the earth. Poon Hill Trek in Nepal passes through areas like Tadapani (2,630m) where the Annapurna South is seen at the closest distance possible. The amazing morning views from Poon Hill with the warm sun rise cutting through the bustling cold of the region makes you feel the real Shangri-la that people talk about. The Tundra forests full of blooming Rhododendrons, rice fields and the magnificient Annapurna range in view of the Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek Packages gives you a memory worth a lifetime. Ghorepani Trek also passes through the beautiful village of Ghandruk, an ethnic Gurung village, famous for their panoramic views and hospitality. Home of the brave British Gurkhas, the village is a great example of the gallantry the men show, and their unflinching love for their homeland.

One of the important highlights of Annapurna Ghorepani Poon Hills trip is the climb up to the Poon Hill, possibly the most spectacular hill on Earth. The green pastures, tall trees of the Tundra forest, the calm breeze flowing through the hill, and just the view that you get from the top is worth a visit. When sun rises, it touches the snow-capped summits of the Himalayan giants, Dhaulagiri (8,167m) and Annapurna (8,091m) along with a maze of other peaks, bringing them into view, sheer magic for the eyes.

Along with the beauty of nature, this short trek also gives you the experience the villages on the north west of the country, native to Brahmins, Gurungs and Tamangs. Also, a must try is the great local produce, from the fresh organic vegetables and fruits to the beautiful cheese and wine.
